Hey there! I’m Sara!

A 30-something traveler, writer, coach, dog mom, wife, New Englander, and fellow traveler. One Wanderful Life is my collection of life’s grand adventures close to home and across the world (with a special focus on Latin America and Spain, which hold the biggest pieces of my heart).

I wholeheartedly believe that travel is a force for good. And that there is no better way to learn about yourself, others, and the world around you than to travel.

Seeing the way others live opens your eyes to your own privilege. Once-in-a-lifetime experiences encourage you to live in the moment. Unpredictable detours teach you how to trust your gut and roll with the punches.

Ultimately, you get to know yourself and start to see the world around you in an entirely new way.

I will share women- and minority-owned businesses to support, hotels embracing the culture and history of a place, tours supporting local economies and people, how to combine luxury and local, where to splurge and where to save, and provide destination inspiration that will spark serious wanderlust.

Your adventures have the opportunity to impact your life and the lives of others in the places you visit—both negatively and positively.

So, wander intentionally and travel mindfully. I will help guide you towards how!

I believe we should all live guided by this Bourdain mantra:

“Travel is not reward for working, it’s education for living.”

You only have one life. Don’t spend it in the same place.
Life is best spent wandering!

fun facts about me:
  • I’ve lived in Costa Rica & Ecuador
  • I’m self-employed and have a copywriting business where I write for clients in the travel, hospitality, and events space – and I coach other women how to do it too
  • My favorite places in the world are Quito, Ecuador, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, and Playa del Carmen, Mexico
  • The way to my heart is through an authentic, Mexico City-style
street taco or a humita (corn tamale) from the woman in front of the SuperMaxi grocery store in Cumbaya, Quito, Ecuador
  • While I am always down for an adventure, I speak Spanish, so Latin America and Spain are typically at the top of my to-travel list at any given time
